First, you send me a sampling of marbles you wish to sell. To insure that you are satisfied with the service, I recommend a small number of marbles to begin with.
I will inspect, grade, photograph, and provide a written description or the marbles. If you have any input you wish to add, please include it with the marble and I will incorporate the information into the written description.
I have basically two types of service to offer. I can list your marble(s) on my web site, or I can sell it through one of Ebay's selling programs.
To sell on my web site, www.grandpamarble.com, I will assign each marble an item number and place it there at a fair market price that both of us agree to. These usually sell within a couple of months, but there is no guarantee about that.
There is a straight 25% fee for this service with a minimum of $5.00 per listing. There will also be a $5.00 charge if you just want me to end the listing and return the marble. Sorry, but it takes so much time to process a listing, I can't afford to do it for less.
I will try to group items of less than $25 in estimated value to insure you don't have to pay more than the 25%.
I will send you a check bi-monthly as marbles sell.
To sell on Ebay. My fee will be the same, but you will be charged reimbursement for any Ebay and PayPal expenses incurred.
Ebay fees vary quite a bit, according to the amount they sell for and the method they are sold. e.g. Items less than $50 on BuyItNow are 12% for Ebay and nearly 4% for PayPal. It is much less for straight auctions. Click hear for Ebay Fees
I will mail you a check approximately two weeks after the auction ends to allow time for the buyer(s) to receive his/their marble(s) and make any returns that may be. I haven’t had a return in a very long time.
I will attend to all buyer administration. All you have to do is send me the marbles and wait for your money.
