DESCRIPTION: Lots of Oxblood with the classic Akro Eggyolk swirled in an odd manner on an opaque grey base, I can think of nothing else to better to call it. I have lately learned that this is probably a "Cullet" marble, i.e. a marble that was made from discarded glass from the Akro factory, or possibly a remelt from a damaged marble that was reheated to remove imperfections. One thing for sure, it is always one of the first to be examined by almost everyone when I take it to a marble show. CONDITION: MINT 9.3 There is one small as-made shallow bubble depression and a small cluster of micro-pinpricks, second picture, that are just too small to be damage. Size is 11/16+". |
