Here is a huge, .025 less than 2 full inches, German handmade latticinio swirl in clear glass with a near perfect white web at the core surrounded by four sub-surface ribbons, two red and yellow alternating with a blue and white and a green and white. One pontil mark is a melted pig-tail and the other is exquisitely ground, dating the marble to the earliest days of glass marble manufacturing, circa 1850+-.
CONDITION: NEAR MINT 8.8 The surface retains a nice wet shine with surprisingly little evidence of any wear. There are some widely scattered sub-surface moons and crescents, but they are faint and there are only the tiniest of pinpricks associated with them.
