This is probably the biggest gooseberry I've every had. At 0.80", it is actually just a hair under 13/16". Any gooseberry is a rare find, but this size and condition is almost incredible.
CONDITION: NEAR MINT 8.4 There is absolutely no sign of play or wear on the marble at all and I believe the flakes shown in the third and fourth pictures are the result of annealing fractures or, possibly, from tapping the marble free from the cane at the pontil mark, or maybe just dropped. There is also a very small circular flat spot opposite the flake. The surface is incredibly wet and shiny, in fact, it begs the question: has it been polished? I've examined this marble several times with a 10x and then a 20x loupe, and I just can't see any polishing marks. You may click here to view the grading system I use. | |||||
