The two unfinished pontil marks and the exceptionally bright colors lead me to believe this beautiful old banded coreless was made in England during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The full 360 degree tight placement of the brilliant yellow, blue, red, orange, and white ribbons make this one a Joseph's Coat and very rare.
CONDITION: MINT 9.6 I can find no evidence of play or wear of any kind. The closest thing I can find to a defect is the slight protrusion of one pontil mark as shown in the first picture | |||||
