Tightly packed ribbons of red, orange, yellow, white, blue, and green run unbroken from pole to pole just beneath the surface of a crystal clear base glass. Truely a Joseph's coat of many colors. Both pontail marks are unfinished, indicating, along with the particularly bright colors, the marble was made in Germany for the English market during the late Victorian period, 1870-1910.
CONDITION: MINT 9.6 The surface is incredibly wet and shiny with absolutely no sign of wear at all. All I can find is a short trail of very tiny surface air bubbles that you can easily see in the first and enlarged pictures. You may click here to view the grading system I use. | |||||
