Here's a wonderful example of an Akro Agate red and yellow Popey from the 1920s and '30s. There is a crystal clear base glass that is over half filled with the defining opaque white wispy strands that mirror the twist of the red and yellow surface corkscrews. These, as well as most other Akro products, are getting harder and harder to obtain, especially in this exquisite factory mint condition.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 I can find nothing to describe here except a couple of tiny melted dimples on a pristine, shiny, wet-looking surface. It's hard to imagine a marble that was made nearly 100 years, for kids to play with, to remain in the same condition it was in when it left the factory You may click here to view the grading system I use. | |||||
