Four exceptionally bright ribbons are fused to form high ridges and low valleys at the center of a clear base glass and mirrored by four yellow lattice ribbons at the surface. This is one of the best designed marbles I've ever seen of this or any other type; everything is perfectly centered and evenly space. The basal pontail mark is exquisitely ground and faceted and the opposite is a faint melted pigtail melted nearly to oblivion.
CONDITION: MINT 9.4 Beautiful wet, shiny surface with no evidence of wear of any kind. There is one small area that looks like there was a bit of surface fizz or possibly some debris on the artist's finishing tools; whatever it is, it is melted and so faint as to be hardly visible without a bright light and lens. You can almost see it at the top of the first picture. Also, there is one tiny pinprick. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 43.6mm or 1.54" at the equator. | |||||
