Collectors call this old German handmade a PRECISION INDIAN. Opposing blue ribbons trimmed in white run from pole to pole on a high gloss jet black base glass. Both pontail marks are unfinished indicating the marble was made somewhere near the end of the era for the German handmade marble industry, circa 1880-1910.
CONDITION: MINT 9.3 The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of play or wear of any kind. The only anomalies I can find are some as-mades that are readily visible in the pictures, and the marble is a bit out of round--wider at the equator than between the poles. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.11mm or 0.675" at the equator. 0.619 pontail to pontail. | |||||
