The Akro Agate 3-color corkscrew with green, red, and yellow has always been known as a "Poll Parrot"; I have seen these lately listed on the market as "Lifesavers". When I began collecting marbles, around 25 years ago, the old timers referred to LIFESAVERs as an exceedingly rare four color corkscrew--Danny Turner sold one at one of his old telephone auctions for more than $500.
This example is indeed a true LIFESAVER with four colors, including nearly equal amounts of: red, green, yellow, and orange.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is wet and shiny with no signs of play or wear of any kind, nor can I find any as-made anomolies. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.86mm or 0.663" at the equator. | |||||
