Known to collectors as a RUBY SLIPPER, there are white ribbons meeting at two seams lying on the surface of a transparent ruby-red, bubble filled base glass, quite rare for a Peltier product.
This one came out of a mesh bag with an unfortunate hole in it, labeled "Champion Juniors" and containing Peltier Rainbos--produced by the Peltier Glass and Novelty Co. of Ottowa Illinois circa 1940s CONDITION: MINT 9.3 The surface is wet and shiny with no signs of play or wear. Not readily evident in hand, but by using a bright light and lens, or these exculpatory images, one can see several tiny melted dimples and an open air bubble that are all clearly as-made. This marble is in the same condition it was when it was first made. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 14.94mm or 0.588" at the equator. | |||||
