Here is one of the most popular of all the highly collectable Akro oxblood family of marbles: the LEMONADE OXBLOOD. This example has a generous coating of the famous Akro oxblood on the surface of a highly UV, ultra violet, reactive yellow vaseline base glass. There are tiny eye-lash like marks at either pole indicating the marble was manufactured prior to the 1922 implementation of the so-called "Freeze" improvement which allowed the process to emliminate these marks.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 Pristine, wet shiny surface with no signs of wear of any kind or any other anomolies that I can find. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.15mm or 0.636" at the equator. | |||||
