At just a hair, 0.004", under 13/16", this old German handmade JOSEPH's COAT is almost too large for an effective shooter by most standards of the day. The prefered color spectrum represented here is seldom seen in these larger examples: bright orange, yellow, three distinct shades of green, chartreuse, cobalt, and royal blue. Both of the pontail marks are unfinished indicating: a manufacturing date of sometime in the late Victorian period, circa 1880-1910, and the last 30 years or so of German toy marble production.
CONDITION: MINT 9.6 Nice wet shiny surface with no sign of wear that I can detect using a bright light and 10x printer's loupe. All that shows up are some very tiny melted dimples that are clearly as-made. You can even see the spin marks from the finishing process. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 20.49mm or 0.808" at the equator. | |||||
