Here's one of Akro Agate's most popular collectibles: the LEMONADE OXBLOOD with a heavy application of the famous Akro oxblood swirling in a loose corkscrew pattern around a highly UV reactive vaseline yellow base glass. Of course the UV reaction is caused by the inclusion of uranium oxide in the glass recipe which was stopped in 1941 with the advent of the Manhatten Project.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of any wear of any kind. All I can find with a bright light and 10x printer's loupe, and with these enlarged pictues, are a couple of clearly as-made tiny melted dimples. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.45mm or 0.647" at the equator. | |||||
