ENGLSIH STYLE, because the primary sales of these old German handmades were produced for the very popular, at the time, English game board market--late Victorian, circa 1880-1910. These were noted for the remarkably clear glass and bright colors and for the fact that neither of the pontail marks were finished as they were with the older products.
This example is eminently well designed with three analogous yellow, red, white, and cobalt blue, equally spaced, ribbons at the core that are mirrored at the surface by three sets of yellow and white lattice lines running pole to pole. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 Exceptionally wet shiny surface without the slightest hint of any kind of wear what-so-ever. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.87mm or 0.664" at the equator. | |||||
