One of the most popular of the Akro Agate collectable marbles, the SPARKLER is noted for it's variety of bright colors, including; yellow, green brown, pink, the elusive powder blue, and the famous Akro OXBLOOD, all inside a crystal clear base glass. This example is also one of Akro's oldest, as shown by the little eyelash-like marks, located at either pole, first and second pictures, indicating the marble was manufactured sometime before early 1922 the date of the so-called "Freeze" improvement which supposedly eliminated the marks.
