1/2" Antique German Handmade ONIONSKIN PEEWEE

Item# GM1835
I'm really not sure about what to call this one. An onionskin is described as a thin layer, "skin", of a color, usually white or yellow completely surrounding a clear marble, on top of which are lines, bands, spots, or streaks of a more vivid color. With this marble, some of the pink bands are lying on top of white bands, while the red, blue, and green are there by themselves, but they are separated by clear streaks that allow you to see inside of the marble in the manner of a Joseph's Coat. I guess the owner can call it whatever they like. CONDITION: NEAR MINT(+) 8.8 There is a shine to the surface but there is some light all over pocket wear that shows up mainly under a lens or these enlarging pictures. I could find no real evidence of play such as pinpricks, fleabites, moons, bruises, or impact marks, or even dirt in the pontail marks. You may click here to view the grading system I use.

Size 12.83mm or 0.505" at the equator.
