There are sea-green and white swirls on and in a highly UV reactive, see sixth picture, translucent cloudy green vaseline base glass with a respectable portion covered by a heavy application of the famous Akro Agate OXBLOOD. This makes for one of the most sought after marbles in all of the marble collecting world, especially those who favor Akro Agate products: the LIMEADE OXBLOOD.
While there are a number of LIMEADEs found with thin lines of OXBLOOD, there are very, very few with the liberal application of this example. An extremely rare and hard to find marble, especially in this wonderful MINT condition. I have been collecting marbles for many years and I have had a lot more CAC Guineas than I have of these. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7-9.8 Very wet shiny surface with no sign of play or wear of any kind. There are a couple of microscopic as-mades that even these enlarging pictures can't pick up. I'd have to go so far as to say WET MINT. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.46mm or 0.648" at the equator. | |||||
